The ultimate resource for any visitor to the area. 200 full-colour pages cover every inch of the Mani with over 500 colour photos clearly illustrating the text. Background information in the introduction details the area's history as well as providing an overview on tower houses and feuds, churches and their frescos and visitors who have come to the Mani and written about their experiences. The body of the guide is colour-coded, section by section to make it quicker to find a particular place. Each section, as well as having its own colour, has a road map and a brief introduction summarising the main characteristics of that area. There are 10 circular walks at the back of the book, spread out throughout the peninsula, again with maps to compliment.

Wherever possible, no transport is required. Maps are provided to guide you through villages and to find places of interest en route, with special reference to churches and tower houses. A mix of walks in terms of difficulty ensures that there should be something for everyone.

An informative and useful magazine it has great editorial covering a variety of subjects - all to do with the area. The advertisements also serve as a good guide to various places to eat, drink and stay, where to find various products for sale and so forth.
